The tutorials on this page are designed for UNLV graduate and undergraduate students to support their access to technology. One of the challenges graduate students face is access to software that require subscriptions (payments). To solve the problem, UNLV offers access to different software applications through RebelApps. The tutorials on this page specifically focus on access to SPSS through RebelApps.
As a PhD student in learning sciences, I am interested in studying effective ways of learning and teaching technology. To accommodate different kinds of learners. I have made the tutorials in two formats.
PDF Files with Instructions
This method is assumed to be more beneficial to learners who have prior experience to guide their learning. It is expected that the learners will be able to figure out most of the steps intuitively.
Explanatory Videos Supplemented with PDF Files
This method is intended for learners who do not have prior experience. The explanations included in the videos are intended to scaffold the learning process. The accompanying PDF files are meant to facilitate learning by providing links to different websites to download essential components. In addition, the PDF files allow learners to control the pace of learning by pausing the video and navigating through the PDF files.
